Martin Luther king
Growing Up in Atlanta, Georgia. As a young boy Martin Luther King dreamed that one day the world will be free for Black and White people to live in and the world won’t judge people by there skin color. He Knew from the moment he was a little kid that in the future he would try his best to help black people all over America to become just as privileged as white people are. But he knew that it would be hard because like the others, he was also black.
Martin Luther King continued his studies to become a doctor. But as he started to become an adult he started to realize just how bad the segregations between black and white people were, so he decided to make a difference. Martin luther kIng started to participate in many different protest and also delivered many speeches.
In fact, If you live in Montgomery, Alabama and are African-American, Then you definitely know Martin Luther King.
“The world thinks of me as the person who tried to bring freedom to black people, but i want the world to see me as the man who stood up for what was i believed in” said Martin Luther King.
After Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for a white man in 1955, Martin Luther King knew that he had to make a change. He planned the boycott and on December 3rd, 1955 the boycott finally began. The situation became so intense that Martin Luther Kings house got fire bombed, but this didn’t stop him. The boycott lasted around 385 days. Martin Luther King also got arrested in the process.
Born into a Christian Family, Martin Luther King didn’t use violence in any of his methods. “Using Violence won’t solve anything” He said “it will simply make the issue worst”.
Martin Luther King liked singing and music as a kid. His mother, an accomplished organist and choir leader, took him to various churches to sing. He later became a member of the junior choir in his church. King later became a member of the junior choir in his church.
Growing up in Atlanta, King attended Booker T. Washington High School. “I feel like i participated a lot in high school” he says “i joined the debate team and also the newspaper delivery service”. Martin Luther King skipped both the ninth and the twelfth grades of high school.
Many people look up to him now because even though terrible things happened to him and his family like his house got fire bombed, he got stabbed and he many threats to kill his family, he still continued fight for what he believed in.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you cant walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward” Martin said.
“However, my life as a kid wasn’t that easy”. Martin Luther king states that as a kid his father whipped him regularly. He also suffered from depression thought his childhood. When his maternal grandma died, he blames himself and jumped out of a second story window, but luckily survived.
“Although Martin doesn’t give up easily, he always has doubts in himself, he needs someone beside to him to support him” Coretta Scott Says.
